Sorry I’ve been mia for the past few days! Miami is this Wednesday, so I’m packing, organizing, soaking in every minute with family, plus doing college works! This is a hectic week. I have a lot to share with you, including my birthday weekend, but today I want to share with you a delicious recipe I’ve been drinking for the past couple of days: my “applelicious smoothie”. Give it a try, you won’t regret it
- 1 small organic apple*
- ¾ cup almond milk
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp peanut or almond butter
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (optional)
- Almonds (optional)
- 1 tsp 100% cacao (optional)
- Blend, blend, blend
I have to be honest with this recipe: so far I’ve never measure anything. I’m more of an intuitive cooker, so whenever I’m trying something I’ll just add ingredients by instinct. That means, I don’t measure, but you can add more ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg according to taste. Don’t omit them, since they are essential for the flavor!
